Vertically Inclined is a guide service formed in 1996 by the founder, and active guide Edward Gorczynski. Edward has almost two decades of experience guiding; a lifetime of experience in the upstate region that rivals that of most guides and guide services in NYC.   All prospective guides at Vertically Inclined are put through a rigorous process in order to gain the Guide title.  At Vertically Inclined we do not have assitant guides where training occurs, unsupervised, with clients, we only hire those with proven experience.  Vertically Inclined does not send guides to locations without prior knowledge of the area, therefore you will never get lost with a Vertically Inclined Guide.  Vertically Inclined is a full service Guide Service where transportation and all the necessary equipment is always provided and included in the cost.  You will never have to pay extra when you arrive.  Also, every guide posted on our site is registered by the New York State Department of Enviromental Conservation to guide in New York State, therefore, we strictly adhere to the guidelines that define a “Guide”.
