The Guides

Wilderness Brenda Gorczynski (Owner/Guide)

A native Bronxite. The only Hispanic female  Guide Company Owner and Operator in the NYC area.  After having, briefly, served our country in the U.S. Army, Brenda came home to take on a more important role – Motherhood. Since then she has dedicated her life to serving the community she grew up in, as a Medical Assistant. She volunteers in schools to encourage children who struggle academically and provide support to families with children with special needs. When not guiding, Brenda works as the Executive Assistant in one of NYC’s Charter Schools; a job she finds rewarding. Her dream – to introduce others to the beauty New York has to offer outside of the Concrete Jungle.  Brenda is a Registered New York State Guide.  Wilderness First Aid Trained and CPR Qualified.
